New club details
The club currently has 27 members with all disciplines represented. Membership is down this year with some members moving toward Extreme Versatility and Stock Horse Challenge competitions.
A survey to members gave the club some ideas - and we have just held our first two-day clinic with Manola Mendez at Highview Indoor Arena. This was very popular and as such we have booked him again for January to be held at Glenormiston. We are also holding a two-day clinic with Tim Chamberlain in October, also at Glenormiston.
In December we will hold a club competition and we will run our usual rallies at Port Fairy, with training consisting of dressage, grids and obstacles.
Financially we are coping well as most of the club’s equipment has been obtained through various grants.
Central Vic Working Equitation celebrated Christmas in July at their recent rally. We also had Gary from Bombers Bits come along & show us the great Bombers bits.
Members rode obstacles in the morning and enjoyed a long relaxing Christmas Lunch over the afternoon. We had 9 horses and members enjoying the obstacles together. The lunch included members and their families; eating, socialising and relaxing.
Members had collectively created the extravagant lunch of roast meats, veges, salad and deserts including real Christmas pudding with custard and then some hot Eggnog with many Christmas snacks on the side.
We packed up the obstacles at about 3pm and all rolled home very content with another successful CVWE rally.

WENEV club have been busy organising our ANWE 3 Phase Mini interclub comp on July 29th in Oxley Victoria. As the club moves toward hosting more comps for those interested riders - a comp sub committee was formed and this is working well. To cater for riders who are more interested in training and getting together socially the Saturday 28th will be the first of a proposed series of 2 day club togethers including training and / or comp with the aim of appealing to the broad range of riders who make up the club. More training days and bi monthly days are being planed as the club deals with increasing numbers into the 2018/19 year. Our junior and child membership has increased this year also as more families are enjoying WE together.
